Learn about the 27 projects that were suggested before this one finally saw the light of day on May 6th, 1994. At 40 m below sea level, two 50km-long railway tunnels with a diameter of 7.6 m link France and England. The tunnel entrance can be seen from highway RD241 which runs alongside the A16 motorway.
